#20 The Clarity Sessions Podcast-How To Create A Successful Webinar

**These concepts are from a combination of Jeff Walker's book, Launch, and Russell Brunson from ClickFunnels.

I want to share with you about live webinars and why I recommend live webinars as a part of your marketing strategy. But first, you may be wondering, "What is a webinar?" Well, a webinar is basically an event. It's an opportunity to invite people to participate in something exciting and often live. If you think about a concert, festival, parade, or a running event, there's something about this community element that's really exciting. A live webinar can be the same thing for your industry!

As an example, I'm hosting a live webinar coming up all about money mindset and helping people, specifically faith-based entrepreneurs, with their money mindset.

Here's the basic business model of a successful webinar:

1. Opportunity

The first thing that I do is start to think about the three limiting beliefs of my audience. What are the three limiting beliefs that your audience has about...

#19 The Clarity Sessions Podcast — Move Out Of The Zone Of Incompetence

It's time to move you out of your zone of incompetence.

Recently I went through the book, The Big Leap, by Gary Hendricks, for probably the fourth time. It's an amazing book that talks about the upper limit challenge and the four zones when it comes to your work and your life. You've probably heard the concept of your zone of genius. That specifically comes from that book.

What I want to address is that big leap, gap, and decision to go from your lowest level zone, which is your zone of incompetence, to that second zone, which is your zone of competence. The third zone is excellence and the fourth zone is genius. But what I found from my amplified coaching students and my clarity coaching clients is that they don't really think they have a genius. They feel stuck doing something they don't like doing.

This article is specifically for you if...

  1. You have been struggling to update your website.
  2. You have been spending hours and hours trying to learn that video editing program and, yet,...

#18 The Clarity Sessions Podcast - The One Change Your Website Needs To Increase Sales

It's time to learn the one change to make to your website to better serve your audience and make more sales. I thought of this topic when one of my coaching students inside the Amplify Method coaching program asked me to review his website. Now, normally I don't do that, but I like to go above and beyond for people that are inside of the Amplify Method coaching program. So I took a look at his site while I did a screen recording to give him feedback. As I was going through his site, I did a little exercise that I want to challenge you to do as well.

Exercise:

Open up the home screen of your website and search for two words. You search for the word "we," if it's more than one person that runs your site. For example, this guy has the site with his wife. You then search for the word "I" like the letter "I." This shows you how many times you talk about yourself or your company on your website. For him, it was over seven times on his homepage alone. So, then I searched for the word "you"...

#17 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- Emulate Before You Innovate

There is a concept that I have been applying to my life in many different ways. It's called: emulate before you innovate. Let's break down those two words real quick.

Emulate

Emulate means to follow a model -- to implement a plan and follow somebody else's process.

Innovate

Innovate means to create your own script, your own journey, your own path, but that shouldn't be done until you emulate. Emulate before you innovate.

Here is an example...my team and I have been going through this process called EOS -- the entrepreneur operating system. As we go through EOS, it's really easy to try to come up with new ideas and say, "Oh, we're not going to do it that way." For example, they have a weekly 90-minute meeting. My first thought was, "Well, we have a 60-minute meeting, so let's just do a 60-minute meeting." But what I'm learning to do is emulate before I innovate -- to follow the system before I try to change the system.

Why?

The reason for that is because I need to acknowledge that...

#16 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- 3 Reasons To Use TikTok

I want to share with you about my new favorite social media app called TikTok. Now, depending on when you're reading this, you might not have even heard of TikTok before, or you're new to it and think it's just for 12-year-old girls.

That's what I thought.

Tik Tok must be for teens who want to sing, do duets, or tell funny jokes. But what I'm learning about Tik Tok is that it's the future. If you think about it, the way we feel about Tik Tok is similar to how we felt about Instagram and Facebook several years ago and Myspace before that. When an up and coming social media tool comes out, it brings a lot of preconceived notions to it.

Here are three reasons to start using Tik Tok to grow your audience, to engage your ideal audience, and to increase sales.

1. It's still new.

Technically Tik Tok really only started in August of 2018, so it's just over a year old. It's a baby social media platform, but it has millions and millions of users. You now have an opportunity to have an...

#14 The Clarity Sessions Podcast -- Why Sign-Up For A High-Level Mastermind Group

Ever thought about signing up for a high-level mastermind? You might first be wondering: what is a high-level mastermind? Well, generally it's led by a thought leader in your space. This might be an author or a speaker or a marketing consultant -- somebody who has been doing what they do for a while who you can trust because they have the kind of results that you want.

Their mastermind is usually a small group of people that they invest in over the course of a year. So the reason I'm talking about this topic is because we're just launching our own high-level mastermind for our writing community called Hope Writers.

You want to serve one person the same way you would serve 100. I can't serve 3000 people and give them personalized feedback and coaching and encouragement, but I could for 30 people. So the idea is instead of a hundred, how can you focus down to that 1% of your audience. That's what a mastermind does. It's the highest level that you could potentially give to your...

#08 The Clarity Sessions - Does Your Message Really Matter?

To learn more about Brian's personal coaching packages, click here.

Does your message really matter? What if you write about something that doesn’t necessarily “change the world” but is more of a fun hobby?

Angie specializes in the silhouette/Cricut niche. She is struggling with monetizing her blog while battling the insecurity of whether or not a craft blog really matters to people.

1. You have people who need your message.

Angie is stuck thinking "It's just a craft blog." When she has that belief, it's important she starts to think about her reader. She has identified her ideal reader as a mom who is probably in her early thirties with maybe two or three kids, and she stays at home. She likes to do crafts but doesn't have a lot of time to do them. She likes her house and kids to look a certain way, and she likes to do it herself. Crafts give her satisfaction because she can do them herself rather than going out and buying stuff. They are something for her to...

#06 The Clarity Sessions - How To Start Your Blog

To learn more about Brian's personal coaching packages, click here.

Are you struggling to get started in this crazy world of sharing your message online? This post is based on my podcast interview with Zeena Regis

Zeena is a grief counselor and hospice chaplain who wants to know how to start a faith-based community where the members can connect with one another and share resources about end-of-life care and about how to handle grief. She is considering a blog, podcast and/or web portal where people can share best practices on what has worked for them.

The first step is to get to know your audience. As you get to know your audience you will find an opportunity that will become your product.

Here are three suggested exercises:

1. Create a narrative.

Zeena's avatar (ideal reader) is a person she has named Anne. Anne wants to support her friend whose mother has passed away. Write a narrative of “Anne” from the point when Anne heard that her friend’s mom is...

#05 The Clarity Sessions - How To Monetize A "Spiritual Encouragement" Blog

To learn more about Brian's personal coaching packages, click here.

Do you write from a faith-based perspective? Struggle to sell to your audience while also serving them? If so, you are in the right place. Hope Writer member, Tia McNelly, and I chat about her question: "When my blog is centered on offering spiritual encouragement, how can I monetize that? I don't want to try to sell Jesus. But at the same time, there's got to be something that I could offer."

I see this question quite a bit, and not even just in the faith-based space. I've even seen it in the parenting space with parents questioning if they should sell parenting advice. I've seen it in education and fitness coaching and more.

There are two issues. One of them is imposter syndrome feeling like you're not really the expert and that there are others more qualified. The second issue is how to provide value that people are wanting for a reasonable price knowing they will experience the results they are looking for.

#01 The Clarity Sessions - Grow Your Ideal Audience

It's time to grow your ideal audience.

Have you ever struggled to grow your ideal audience? Well, if you have, you've come to the right place. Danette Gora is an interior designer, podcaster, and writer who is looking to connect to her ideal audience.

As a new writer working on writing a book, she wants to figure out how to grow her audience and know exactly where to put her time. It's hard to know what to work on and how much time to spend on each of her platforms. She has three days a week to pour into her content and wants to make the most out of her time.

Here are my tips for how she can reach and grow her ideal audience:

1. Narrow down your audience.

We often think that everyone should be included in our audience because if everyone is our audience, we will sell more, right? Wrong. What I've found is when I focus on only one person and serve that person really well, it makes it really clear what I should say and what I shouldn't say.

I write for Cheryl. She's...
